I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Hands down the best UI proposal to date.
now I understand blender UI for the first time in my life
let's also implement motion capture
Once again I'm touched with all the effort you guys put in Blender! (specially Ton..)
Best UI ever!
This is a great idea! I'm pretty sure people will be more productive knowing that Ton is watching them.
I CAN'T BREATH !!! xDDDDD
One thing I've always missed when moving to Open Source software is that feeling of someone keeping an eye on what I do with it.
Yes, "eye tracking" is the modern top high feature we NEED now! LOL ))
I can see we're making some serious progress finally! It's good to know Andrew Price's effort are paying off in spades! :)
Always enjoy a bit of lightheartedness the Blender community offers from time to time. Keeps some of us sane.
Finally a way to track down my lost mouse cursor!
sweet!
I smell a Nobel Prize.
This needs to be a real plug in.
hahaha xD That's so creepy!
When will it make it to trunk?

Every heard of a joke? No? Really now, a sense of humor would do you some good. Of course I suppose trolls will be trolls.
It's funny 'cause, clearly you didn't check even out the proposal.
Maybe one shouldn't spend as much time "extensively researching" voters.
It took me a moment to grasp it, but this will be what ushers in the 3rd Millennium.
But I agree with him about the redesign, it's clear not needed, however, some small adjustments could be made.
But overall, the main group that is craving for change, is also the minority group that uses Blender for above average work.
That's a fair and rational notion.
Remaking blender has been too hot these days, so this was a nice deflater.
I'll give Andrew credence since he is doing a presentation at a Blender conference, and thus doing research from the input.
It can't be an "open" discussion really, since we all have an opinion about what should be next...in the mean time, Blender Devs have their year cut out for them already.
Harris3d, once again I have removed your comment. Discussion is fine, but you will now stop insulting community people by calling them morons, losers and accusing specific people/websites of being greedy.
You're breaking the implicit community rules here, and this is your final warning.
Yes. I can see this plug in making it into Blender before a Bend tool will.
There are numerous ways to bend things. Curve deformations, the warp tool, well... I guess only two come to mind, but those things pretty much serve the function of a bend tool.
I'm guessing Sebsatian is a very old Macintosh User, like me :)
A history lesson : In the earlie days of Apple's OS, on Macintosh machines, there were a pair of eyes in the upper right corner, that was always following the mouse ;)
LOL I thought I was the only one old enough to remember that option :)
Funny: I thought exactly the same!
Oh... yeah) The Macintosh ))
BTW... In a case if somebody have a lot of free time now and have a wish to freestyle with code a bit (no, I'm not coding... just a lot of ideas)
Addon idea:
create two or three light and "parent" them to mouse movement.
So it will be just like these eyes. Useful for sculpting! :)
I know we have the addon that brings controls of Blender's vis. lights closer. But just pressing some "Alt+Ctrl+..." and re-position the light by the mouse will be much more rapid.
You mean like the 'Track To' constraint?
Not sure what you mean by "re-position light by mouse", can't you just translate (grab) it to move?
A 'Peeping Ton' included in Blender - now that should make Adobe weep with jealousy :-)
'Peeping Ton' is by far the best name for it!
Now would you actually want such an addon?
Here in Brasil it will change to a Obama version.
