Tutorials: The Complete Weather Series

The BlenderGuru has published a series of 5 tutorials on weather effects: rain puddles, snow, rain, lightning and heat distortion. All tutorials come with Blender files.

Andrew writes:

The Blender Guru weather tutorial series is now complete! Every week for the past month I have been creating a tutorial relating to weather and posting them on Blender Guru.

If you missed any of the tutorials you can view them on the links below:

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. They are all great tutorials. As I already said on Andrew's site, his tutorials are always inspiring for me, and they give me the urge to experiment about things that I wouldn't have necessary considered otherwize.

As a "Thank You", and as a complement to this serie, I have created a setup (in Blender 2.49b) that I call "Ripples Maker".

You can see the effect and download my blend here :
