Well, from the past year i've been doing some training on Blender basics, in the Informatic Department, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. A new one is about to start, and the public interested is growing. ;) We hope in the end (two months) we can publish in our gallery some of the student's work.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. good to see blender growing in popularity..
the Blender Training Montréal's page is french only, even when you press the FRANCAIS link on the right (hoping to see information in english)..
is the course in French then?

  2. what is your ID on the blender forum for private message ?

what happen to the free conference like it was in 2004 ?

    anything on UV mapping
and all the different mappling in blender some 20 differents ways to map things

est- ce un remplacement de la conference ou une autre activite indepedente ?

Thanks / merci et salutation du cyber espace

  3. I'm 'Ecks' on

Well there was a conference ins 2004, 05 and 06, last year it was in New-York because I didn,t have time to organise one over here...and this year I'm even more busy and I'm going to the amsterdam I couldn't organise anything over here. I would have hope someone could have taken the job, but it seems no one had time for it.

Texturing will be covered in the 2nd class, but don't expect some very advance class. This is mostly for beginners. But yes, UV mapping will be covered as well a descriptions/use of other type of mapping.
