Well, from the past year i've been doing some training on Blender basics, in the Informatic Department, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. A new one is about to start, and the public interested is growing. ;) We hope in the end (two months) we can publish in our gallery some of the student's work.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

est- ce un remplacement de la conference ou une autre activite indepedente ?

Well there was a conference ins 2004, 05 and 06, last year it was in New-York because I didn,t have time to organise one over here...and this year I'm even more busy and I'm going to the amsterdam conference..so I couldn't organise anything over here. I would have hope someone could have taken the job, but it seems no one had time for it.

Texturing will be covered in the 2nd class, but don't expect some very advance class. This is mostly for beginners. But yes, UV mapping will be covered as well a descriptions/use of other type of mapping.
