Kerkythea Echo Has Been Released
Kerkythea Echo has been released. If you haven’t heard of Kerkythea its a flexible and powerful free rendering engine now capable of ray tracing, Photon Mapping and Metropolis Light Transport.
A Blender python exporter does exist and can be downloaded here. And there are some great video tutorials on using Blender with Kerkythea here.
Download the latest version of Kerkythea here. You’ll find versions for OSX, Windows and Linux available. There is a great community in the Kerkythea forums and an active development team.

That’s very cool! =)
Thanks so much for the post. ^_^
wow, it looks like Kerkythea has come a long way. I am off to try it!
neat, i still prefer to use the blender internal renderer though, if only for its integration
I agree gord – I’d be curious to see a matrix of comparisons of the various ray tracers out there – yafray, povray, etc… (Off to google i guess…) and how they integrate with Blender.
This may interest users which use linux .
