New Plumiferos Trailer Online

27

splashtd6.jpgRight after the Plumiferos team came back from the Mar del Plata Film Festival where they showed their latest work, they posted their new trailer on their website. It was SO popular that within a few hours the server was overloaded. They now have a number of mirrors available so you can download it straight away.

I am very impressed with this work so far. I really like the visual style, the character animation is very well done, the environment is very rich and quite diverse and the music and voices are great.

Congratulations to the entire team with the results so far! I'm sure that this movie will make professionals around the world take another look at Blender.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Their hard work really shows. All I can say is WOW! Not because I'm a blenderhead, but just because it's that good. I can only hope that the story is enjoyable.

  2. Looks promising I agree. But while the renders look pretty good, the animation doesn't seem as high quality as I was expecting. Wing movements could use improvements, as could the facial and body expressions at key points throughout the animation. All that in mind, I'd still say its shaping up to be a great film, and I'm definitely looking forward to the final result.

  3. Hey, Realy nice stuff...
here are some things that stood out as possible improvements
    * roof shots have camera pointing towards the rooftops most of the time. would be nice to see a scene in the background (maybe only a few mattpaintings needed for this?)
    * some of the views that do contain a background scene could use a wider angle camera to get the feeling your out in the open with the birds rather then looking through a camera at a distance.
    * wings flapping would look better with motion blur

realize most of these things would require more work and Im sure they were discussed...

  4. 503 server temporarily unavailable. Looks like someone's been blenderised bandwidth wise.. Man how big is this community?!

  5. "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

Thanks for the Google video Link! Just in case anyone got the trailler, please upload somewhere else, and leave mirror ;) Thanks!

  6. dang, wish it would be free.
looks amazing, even though i cant understand a word.
and clues if theres gunna be an English one in theatres in USA?

  7. Only one word can describe the trailer: AMAZING!
I can't wait to see the whole movie.
By the way, will the movie be released on DVD only or in theatres, too?

  8. Looks very promising, I like animation part a lot ... regarding colors I have some conserns, some parts look too plastic ... don't know, but it is far away from the Pixar look. Maybe I'm just not used to such a style, hope majority will like it anyway!

    .::PiPi::.

  9. Very nice trailer!
Now a days, movies are coming to public with a game to improve the comercial issue. Is anybody thinking about a Plumiferos game made with the Blender Geme Engine?

    Cheers
