Gotta love the level of detail they had in those old times! door hinges, wood displacement maps(not normals! displacement!) and especially that high-poly sword, even the bulge in the middle was totally modeled in.
The texturing is also very nice, you can't see any seams in the UV mapping, and those dirt maps are amazing!
You Guys! Glad to see the creative minds at work (and play) Have fun. That is the key to spontaneity and creativity.
Museums provide a great source of inspiration and ideas.
The sarcasms about the animation were a little off IMHO.

This was not a news post, but a reminder about the Durian blog, and aimed at those who didn't follow the blog; you know. What do you think was the main point of this article, the video or the fact that the Durian blog is updated and there are a lot of fantastic things to see there in the future?

First i look at museum & thought that it is Russian museum with "резка по дереву" timber-cutting & ornament on wear but architecture differ. Street is so native, like at home. I guess why! The movie quality HQ! Naturally
