This is pretty cool: .blend is the first native file format that gets animation support on Sketchfab. Previously, you had to export to FBX first, but no more!
Great news for Blender users! We now have native animation support for .blend files. This means you can upload your .blend file directly, there is no need to convert to an fbx file anymore. You can also use our native Blender exporter, which now adds a cool ‘uploaded with Blender’ icon to your model.
Here's a gallery of Blender animations on Sketchfab. Enjoy!

Pretty soon, Sketchfab will file your taxes for you, make you breakfast in the morning, and feature future support for the Holodeck.
I'm hoping for a good cup of coffee :)
This new is spectacular. I have already tried out this new function with Blender and it works great :D
Glad to hear it! Could you share a link of what you've made?
Sure. These were more quick test than finished animations. Here you go.

You guys have been out doing yourselves. I simply can not wait to start making more animations with uploading them to sketchfab on my mind. This new animation feature also helps in giving an artists a goal to shoot for.
By the way I just got a 3rd party very nicely constructed VR set for using with Google Cardboard apps. I'm amazed by VR.
Thank you Bart and the other Sketchfab team Members for actually allowing myself and other 3D artists to have an easily way to get our art into the Virtual Reality world.
Ah cool. Nice to see that animations work so well right? :)
And enjoy your VR set! We're working hard to work VR support better and better.
