“The Univerisity of British Columbia Fisheries Centre is proud to host the 2nd Blender workshop in Vancouver. The first one took place in August of 2008 and was well received by the 24 attendents who spent the day learning about computer graphics and networking with other artists from GNWC-MDM and VFS.”

We thought the first Blender workshop in Vancouver was fun and thought we’d do it again this year!
The Fisheries Centre is currently working with GNWC-MDM on a mini educational game using the Blender Game Engine. The workshop is meant to provide beginner and intermediate Blender users with a better understanding of how the software works. The venue also serves to provide a platform for local Blender users to meet each other and share ideas.
Fisheries Centre also has a summer internship position open on this game project and is looking for talents in the related fields.
