This is a very compelling and convincing image.

I have been in a discussion with someone, and I can’t decide if this is meant to appear like a tabletop filming model or a giant true-to-life ship such that a person could sit in it. And it shows me how little I know about how the eye interprets subtle information. But whichever it is meant to be, it has tangible presence.

    Any author insights?
