I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.

I like the style. Quite charming. I love seeing low-poly styles.
How I miss the days of the superior cartridge. AND N64 with it’s 2 second or less load times.
I don’t think of the graphics (specifically the textures) as low quality. more like: ‘stylized’ with a hint of low resolution.
More game, less loading the graphics you will find crap in 2 years!
I miss the days of cartridges, too. Seems like developers did better work under such more “primitive” limits then than they tend to do today. I love beautiful HD graphical horsepower and all, but I think there’s a balance to achieve between aesthetics vs. graphics, and one between game experience vs. game size, and they’re two balances that many game developers just don’t care to strike today–they tend to focus on the latter end of both balances more.
