I completed "Old Stars, New Horizons" in honor of the New Horizons space probe currently making history! I have been employing a paper craft-aesthetic for my last few projects, and I thought it could really work here too.
Modeling and rendering was completed in Blender (2.74) + Cycles, with compositing in both Blender and Photoshop CC 2015.
