Grandpa's Greenhouse

0

By Juan Hernández.

This is my submission for the 3rd CG Boost challenge on the topic 'Fantastic Greenhouse' in which I had the honor to get the 1st place!

All done in Blender 2.8 and rendered with Cycles at 2000 samples. About two weeks work and some days for sketching. If you want to see the whole image you can find it in here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XBzPqD

Had a lot of fun making this, I am happy with the result and I am glad that the lighting I had in mind worked just fine, as I was going with warm and cozy. The majority of the plants are modelled planes with a solidify modifier, with the exception of those that have many leaves, in that case I use a particle system. Characters and the carnivorous plant where sculpted and then retopoligized for better texturing and further development. I also tried to had some little details, for those who like to look around.
