I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

Very good.
How did the outcome of armor over the wire?
Caught my attention because it seems 4D cinema.
Hug.
Yeah, I was inspired by some Cinema 4D work I saw. To make the outer wire frame part, I duplicated the main mesh, then add a bit more variation to it. Then I scaled it up a little then I added the spheres to the verticies using a particle system. After applying the particles, I turned the wire into a curve in order to add a bevel to it for thickness. I talk more about it here: http://davidzerba.wordpress.com/2012/12/03/boredom/
Cool.
Thanks for the reply.
I achieved a similar thing a while ago. Have a look here: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/79757
I did it by messing around with a sphere, then duplicating it and scaling up slightly. I then used dupliverts to make the spheres and then a wireframe modifier to make the wires.
