Free Add-on: Link Data and Keep Transforms

This add-on by AlaaCG scratches a small but relevant itch.
To create instances in Blender, the default method is to Link Object Data. The problem is that this replaces the selected objects’ transforms with those of the active object, which is especially painful when you’ve already applied your transforms and can’t go back.
So I created this button to link object data while keeping each object’s original transforms. It’s free on Gumroad.
The idea is simple: create instances without touching the location, rotation, or scale of your objects. It’s great for modeling scenes with multiple objects that share the same mesh, and it helps keep things optimized. I hope you find it useful!
