Dear CG Thinkers, welcome!
On today’s menu: roasted GPUs!
We’ll dive into how volume rendering works in Cycles and how to push your settings to reveal every bit of detail in your procedural clouds.I’ll take you through how I discovered the problem, the experiments I tried, and how I finally solved it. Follow me on this new Blender adventure!

Nice one!
There’s so many render settings in Blender that are overkill for what it needs to do imho.
This is another great example, and it will spare our poor GPU’s when rendering ;)
I have one more tip. If you renderig more then one layer of cloudes you don’t hav to decreesing Volume step rate in global settins. You can do it in shader settings in section Volume/Step Rate. It’s more efficient aproche if you have fog, another cludes etc.
