IWC Schaffhausen Formula 1

Diving into « Asphalt »
CGI experiment with pure muscles.
This project was built around the idea of a zoetrope, but with a modern twist. Instead of traditional animation, the entire sequence lives within a single 3D model.

Each frame is precisely placed along the carousel’s rotation, creating a fluid a looping animation. (yes I had a fun time adding little variations ton each model in order to recreate realistic randomness. The real magic happened when Liam Phan stepped in with his audio composition and spatial sound design. His work didn’t just complement the visuals, it transformed the entire scene into an immersive experience, where every movement and sound feels intentional and alive.

At the heart of it all is the IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur Automatic 40 from Formula1 movie, a watch that inspired the precision and craftsmanship behind this project. Created in Blender, rendered in Cycles, and graded in Adobe Aftereffects .

What do you think of the fusion of sound and motion here ?
