Easy Grass Generator 1.9 adds Improved Clump Tools, Ground Removal, Random Rotation, and Enhanced Surface Removal

The main goal is to focus exclusively in making the task of creating grass in Blender as easy and realistic as It is possible.

As an artist, I am using Easy Grass every day in real Archviz projects, and every time I see some limitations or issues that can take away from me the funny feeling of making grass, I know… Its time to update! Here we go.

The major updates are:

  • Fix Clump tools. Now clumps tool is way more intuitive, easy to use and predictable.
  • Added an option for removing ground, leaving just the grass and Its components, in case you want to preserve your own landscape, for some reason.
  • Added option to rotate randomly the ground extras. Now you can make them more visible.
  • Added option to control the surface contact (Also renamed to Surface Removal).
  • Add an option to have removal surface on an object, as the primary option. Secondary option remain collection. This means more options and quicker results, because sometimes you just want to pick an object and tell the system to remove the grass on beneath that object.
  • Fixed painting grass not affecting ground extra, flowers and clumps.
  • Fixed surface removal (old surface contact) when edge of the object isn’t super close to the grass, what was causing the grass overpassing the geometry before and not being removed. Not happening anymore.
