6th Class – Animated Rap Music Video made with Blender’s NPR Branch

Illustrated portrait of a man with beard against a colorful background, text "Kaksha" in Hindi.

I’m Munish Kumar, founder of Gonreel Motion Imagery™, an independent CGI and animation studio based in Himachal Pradesh, India.

I just finished my first animated rap music video — written, performed, and animated entirely by me.

This project was created in around 40 days using only free and open-source tools:

  • Blender (NPR branch) for stylized animation
  • Krita for concept and textures
  • LMMS for beat and music production
  • Audacity for vocals
  • DaVinci Resolve (Free) for editing and color

All of it was made on a very minimal setup: GTX 1050 2GB GPU, 8-year-old PC, and a ₹1000 (11$) mic.

This isn’t perfect — but it’s real, raw, and extremely personal. I hope it inspires someone out there who feels they “don’t have enough” to get started.

Thank you Blender community for making this kind of work even possible.
