Best of Blender Artists: 2024-45

Every week, hundreds of artists share their work on the Blender Artists forum. I’m putting some of the best work in the spotlight in a weekly post here on BlenderNation.

Every week, hundreds of artists share their work on the Blender Artists forum. I’m putting some of the best work in the spotlight in a weekly post here on BlenderNation.
This latest work features a female character with a bunch of arms and hands coming out from under her dress…
That’s regrettable, it has an indirectly pornographic and offensive connotation to women…
Underneath a woman’s dress is a sacred place, her intimate parts, and an image like that is a concept that should be used, with several hands abusing the character and this still being something artistic, but this is offensive!
I think about what I will have to be careful with this site, a place that I think would be safe for my daughter to learn and study about art…
I’m afraid for my daughter…
That’s regrettable, Mr. Bart… That’s regrettable
I don’t think there’s anything remotely sexual about this image. The hands are going OUT of her dress, not in, and it’s clearly meant to be a scary and not erotic image.
I made the piece in question and there is nothing sexual about it.
As Bart already said, the hands are going out, not in.
It is meant to be a creepy, eerie piece – nothing more.
On a site note: I am a woman.
I don’t know how an adult person can write something like this. There is nothing erotical in that artpiece. It say more about you than about author. How your daughter will learn about art if there is planty around erotical artworks around the world? You want to not alow here to see the works of masters like Leonardo da Vinci or Michel Angelo?
I don’t think the artist’s work should be removed, the artist has the right to show his art… but just put a “Sensitive Content” symbol, since it can trigger sensitive people like young people.
No; see above.
