Blender Foundation Survey

The Blender Foundation is surveying the community to help define the future of our favorite app.

Blender Foundation announces its first user survey, with the goal to learn and understand:

  • The user community demographics: age group, geography and professional background, etc.
  • Common use cases and workflows
  • Most wanted improvements
  • How people connect and get involved as contributors
  • How the community spends money (donations, marketplaces, training, etc.)
  • Future direction of the project

The anonymized results of the survey will be publicly shared in an illustrated and commented format, and also as a raw dataset.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.
