How to Peel a Potato in Blender

Gurlaldeep shows how to set up  a simulation in Blender for a peeling effect.

The effect is done by creating a spiral as a ‘cutter’ object first, which is applied as a boolean to the jacket of the potato. This peel is now animated using an animated weight map on a cloth modifier.
