You Are Autosave: Never Lose Your Blender Work Again!

We’ve all been there: you’re working on a Blender project and you’re SO focused on it that you forget to save your work in the process. Dr. Sybren’s new add-on solves this by becoming increasingly annoying, the longer you don’t save your work.

No more surprises when auto-save doesn’t work! If your file hasn’t been saved for a while, show a warning. Now You Are Autosave!

Two timeouts can be set:

  • when to start nagging, and
  • when to reach full panic mode.

And yes the only way to get rid of the red (themable, of course) is to actually save your file.

Note: At the time of writing, this add-on was still under review. But since Sybren is part of the Blender team I think we can trust that he knows what he’s doing ;-)
