Video: The Last Banana

6rizle created this short Sci-fi animation using Blender and UE5.
The challenge of this project was to push the details on all the objects to the maximum and to build set dresses. In modeling, I wanted to learn how to master the BoxCutter addon. Then, I did retopology, cleaned up the objects, unwrapped the UVs with Blender and Rizom, and textured with Painter. Finally, I created my set dresses in Blender and used the Coordiknight addon to import them into Unreal 5 (I couldn’t optimize Cycles well enough). Then I learn/discover Unreal5, did my layout, lighting, and edited my video with the VSE. It’s a raw render because I don’t know how to do compositing. As for the story, it was really just an excuse to do a lot of modeling, rather than a deep reflection on the meaning of life. Just to many things for a banana.

Really good. Here is my most recent video. https://vimeo.com/995098661 how long did the “last banana take to render? Good job. I like the way you did the mist and smoke. I tried to do depth of field so the background would not be in focus. I have a lot to learn but I think a little mist would help. Next I will be doing a Homo Erectus charging with spear low, and then charging with spear high. I apricate your comments and advise.
