BlenderBIM update adds improved costing and QTO, improved developer API, error reporting

BlenderBIM is an add-on for authoring and documenting Building Information Modeling projects (BIM) data fully to ISO standards. This month’s release contains 561 new features and fixes.

Some highlights from this update:

Drawing Improvements:

  • Faster printing, saving, and switching with improved debugging and smart text handling.

Style and Material Consolidation:

  • Unified UI and enhanced material management.

Quantity Take-Off (QTO):

  • Redesigned with the Ifc5D tool and custom queries.

API and Packaging:

  • Batch commands, static functions, regular PyPI releases, and support for custom properties.
