Blender's 30th birthday is coming up on January 2nd! As a birthday gift, the foundation is asking for community donations to help the continued funding of the project and the team. The focus of this campaign is on community, and it will help balance the ratio of community vs large corporations donations.
To encourage participation, supporters of the December donation drive will receive a special “30 Years” badge in their Blender ID and have their name permanently recorded in the donation logs.
