Animating Hyperrealistic FPV Drone Footage in Blender

0

Polyfjord uses a really cool technique I hadn't seen before: by combining Blender's rigid body anymation with a camera track-to constraint, he achieves very realistic 'lagging' camera movement of a drone.

In this video we'll be using Blender's Rigid Body tools to drive a physics simulation that animates a realistic FPV drone camera in Blender! This tutorial covers the entire process from start to finish, with an extra in-depth segment about how Blender's compositor can be used to add a vintage digital camera look to our render.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
