Video: Water Horses (+Breakdown)

BlindIllusionist shared this short video that was inspired by Lord of the Rings. Check out how they recreated it using Flip Fluids in Blender.

The idea is obviously inspired from the Fort of Bruinen sequence from the Lord of the rings.
In the movie the lighting is very cloudy and moody but as I was trying around I found that I like a beam of morning sunlight interacting with the water much more.

I did not try to match the movie version but rather wanted to test if I can achieve a similar effect using the Flip Fluids Addon for Blender. You can see in the breakdown that I tried many ways to come closer to the result I wanted to see. In the end, it was a combination of force fields and inflows.
