Creating a Crosshatch Effect Shader in Blender

Sina Sinaie shows how to achieve a crosshatch effect in Blender to mimic the look of comic books. His methos gives control over the appearance by setting the thickness, spacing and falloff of the hatchlines. This tutorial is quite special in that the entire thing is animated instead of it being 'just' a screencapture. I found it amazing to watch.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
