VSE Archiver - The Videoproject Back Up Kit

Dear BlenderFans,

if you make videos using Blender's Video Sequence Editor (VSE) I might have a great tool for you: The VSE Archiver - The Videoproject Back Up Kit.

Are you like me and after a large Videoprojekt your source files are distributed over several harddrives and network drives? Or every videoproject has 30 GB B-Roll you never used? And then a customer asks for the project files....

The VSE Archiver is a Blender addon that produces a back-up of your video project. It collects all the footage used into a distinct folder structure and relinks all media in the archived blend file resulting in a handy back-up ready to be archived or sent to a customer. You can choose between copying the source files or rendering out the individual strips. I made a video explaining how it works ... (and was happy to eventually archive it :-D )

  1. Wow didnt knew people use VSE for client work. This is the only area in blender which I personally feel is still left far behind compared to davinci for example.
