0

Bcon 2022 ended just a month ago, and we are still learning about the power and momentum generated by bringing all the Blender stakeholders together in one place, this time through a post by Dalai on the Blender Developers Blog showcasing the ideas, designs, and decisions that came out of the Geometry Nodes workshop that took place just after the conference.

Four main topics were tackled during the workshop:

The post goes in depth into each one of these topics, so I highly recommend heading over there, reading all about what's planned for Geometry Nodes, and sharing your thoughts in the comments!

This is the second "Future of" post in a row I'm writing about Blender, after yesterday's "Future of Animation in Blender". This is a fantastic sign of the vivacity of Blender's development and the Blender project as a whole, and testimony to the forward vision and design thinking being put into place by the developers and the institute in tandem with its community. The coming months and years of Blender are shaping up to be its best yet!
