You can alter it as you prefer by using the node group within the material, and use it on any object without the need for UV mapping (you can still use UV coordinates to map the texture but may require minor edits in the texture scale). Although, majorly you would probably be using this on flat planes to make roads of course.
Here's a little node showcase:-
It uses many noise samplers, which admittedly does increase render times, but it's been designed to be fit for baking if you'd prefer. I've also provided a few tips on the gumroad page that will help in optimizing the material for viewport performance.
