Free AI Seamless Texture Generator for Blender

11

Carson Katri has shared his Stable Diffusion-based seamless texture generator for Blender, available for free on his GitHub.

It's been a little more than a week since our last round-up on the state of AI tools for Blender, with Stable Diffusion's Open Source release leading to an explosion of tools and implementations. Carson's add-on had been released for only a week before this latest update gave it the ability to generate seamless texture. 1. Wow, this looks amazing, I'll give it a try, but could you make a tutorial on how to uninstall everything about this addon? It's almost 5GB hehe and Idk where all that stuff went or how can I delete it afterwards :P

    Thanks in advance ♥

    • Transparent Room on

It goes in your C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\[Blender version you have installed]\scripts\addons\dream_textures\

      • Excellent, so all those extra dependencies installed in the installation process are located there and I just need to delete those files and it's done? (Except of course for the other 4GB file and the addon itself)
btw, thanks for your reply :D

          You are welcome,

Well, I would try removing it first from its own option, but yeah, if that doesn't remove everything, I suppose you can delete all of that stuff in the directory safely.

      • I tried at least 5 times and there is still the same message : "pip" needs to upgrade.
They tell you how to upgrade (in the console), but you have to be a programmer to understand how to use the command in the console.
And of course, no one can help because it works on their side, and the error messages are an absolute nightmare to figure out.
I guess we just have to wait for a simpler way to install it.
I left some message on youtube vids where the developer commented, but to no avail.
Since I am completely hermetical to what the problem is, I had to give up or face a heart attack.

        • You can ignore the pip needs to upgrade.

If you look more closely there dependencies that are unable to install. I tried manually installing them by first installing Pyhthon to get access to the pip command.

DreamTextures says it successfully installed, but it doesn't work.

Still it's cool to see a glimpse of the future, even if it is still out of reach for most of us.

          • Same issue, dependencies never installed :(

I tried many ways, with different strategies but nothin.

Expecting a fix soon, it looks like an amazing tool!
