Hi there,

We have just released this music video which 3D artwork and 3D motion tracking is entirely done in Blender.

It was quite a challenging project.

In fact we used the most simple materials to achieve a maximum effect. A simple cloth greenscreen was used as a background when filming. Blue tape was added to the screen to create trackers. The camera we used, was a Panasonic GH1 with updated firmware for high bit-rates. Lighting was done using fluorescent tubes and construction lamps. We used After Effects to key the footage. Motion tracking in Blender worked like a charm. All environments and animations were created using Blender.

We hope you enjoy this music video!

Kind regards, Fred

I've been busy in the audiovisual industry since 2000. During the first years I worked for Dutch public broadcasting. My job concentrated on administration of TV broadcasting processes and Video On Demand streaming. Being infected by audiovisual production, I decided to do the study Digital Film Making in 2008/2009. After graduation in July 2009, I started my own company creating corporate movies, music video's and stock footage. I got a great interest in 3D animation and composition. Much of my work is based on computer generated graphics. I use Blender as my primary software.

  1. Good music with good vocals coupled with Blender mean good job. This ingenuous and coherent video reminds me of DeluxePaint IV heyday i.a. the sphinx, animated inscriptions and their logo in particular. Keep up the good work guys!
