Creating a flame effect using shader nodes

Blender artist Celestialmaze from Australia shared a short clip in which they create a stylized flame effect using just 10 nodes:

The driver values are frame/30 & frame/150 for the y and z on the subtract node (30 fps). The only other setting is the bloom parameters:

As a bonus, they show how to add a pixelated effect using just one additional node:
