I just released episode 3 of my series The Adventures of Capt Sanchez on Youtube. All rendering was done in Eevee (for the space scenes) and Cycles (for the interior scenes) using Blender 3.1.
I used Character Creator 3 and iClone for the character generation and animation, but the rest was done in Blender. This is my first video rendering entirely in Blender instead of iClone. I chose Blender because I felt I had more control over the final image (better transparencies, particle effects, etc). Also, the Blender CC3 plugin made importing the characters from iClone much easier since I generally had to do very little in the way of fixing texture, etc.
As always with art, the final result speaks for itself!

That somehow reminds me of shortfilms like theevan. Although it is much better. It is partly creepy but I can also enjoy the intentional humor behind that. The animation/mocap is partly very good, but as often as that also very creepy as well. But all in all it is consistent in tone and style which i like. If I could give an advice, it would be to up the quality while lowering the shorts total runtime... maybe just concentrate on one scene/1-2min of content, instead of producing nearly 10 minutes of content. In that way You clearly could do something awesome.
Thanks! I've been thinking about doing 1 scene videos (this one is 4 scenes). It would allow me to release more often and keep the length down to a more youtube friendly length. I do worry about the story losing its cohesion though.
People who are interested will later binge that thing if it is good. So if you increase quality in exchange for episode length you can only win.
Nice work. You have done more than i could, looking forward to more episodes.
Thanks, I'm starting to get more help with this project too. I have some new voice actors interested in participating. This little seed is starting to grow. :)
