Focal Lock Addon for Blender

7

Anson Savage writes:

I have always struggled to find the perfect focal length for my Blender Projects. So, I set out to solve the problem. I teamed up with Nathan Craddock (nathancraddock.com) to produce this free (donate if you want) addon that allows Blender users to quickly find the focal length that works for them! I hope that this product can speed up your workflow like it has mine!

Special thanks to Nathan Dickson for his art (dermusikmeister.artstation.com/) and Gabe Schaffer (https://bit.ly/3mG8yOy) for creating the music!

Amazing! I was looking for a dolly zoom solution for blender and here it is! No more fiddling around with drivers.
An idea fo a small feature: option to shift the focus slightly forward or back, after locking DOF to an object. Just throwing it out there ;)

    • Great suggestion! One thing that I do to solve that is I set the focus to be an empty. Then, you can set the mesh to be the parent of the empty and adjust the empty's location as necessary!
