BigBadCube's Personal Blender Journey in One Year

Hello BlenderNation community !

1 year ago I challenged myself to learn 3d creation with this amazing free software... And here is 1 year of work in video following a loooooot of tutorials and creating personnal projects....

To present myself, I'm a french guitarist and composer, I produce music in my home studio and I made some music for short films also...

The truth is that lately I was struggling to find project to score... So I thought: Hey man, no one is asking you to do music for their movie ? No worries ! Let's make an animated film and I'll also do the music for it !!! :)

Ohhhh what an crazy idea !!!

So I started learning in sept/oct 2020, looking at all tutorials I could find online on youtube... Start was painfull, and I couldn't imagine it would be so difficult...

But with some perseverance, with the help of this amazing community and artists sharing their knowledge I started progressing and understanding what this is all about...

The video stops in november 2021, so after one year I think I can say I'm no more a beginner and I'm much more comfortable playing with Blender, and couldn't resist sharing this progression.. It's really a huge piece of software with limitless possibilities...

Sometimes it can be really overwhelming, there is so many stuff to know ! Learning modeling, texturing, shading, lightning, motion tracking ... and everything is passionating...

It's also sometimes very hard to see all the amazing work artists are sharing online, and how difficult it is for you to achieve one piece of crappy image... BUT you have to accept that everything takes time, and behind each great stuff there is a lot of unseen work... I learned that with music and it applies also to graphic creation... Patience, dedication and learning, practice, learning, practice etc..

Ok enough of talking ! hope you enjoyed the video and a huge thanks to all those great artists who share their knowledge & inspire thousands of people around the world.

See you soon for more fun creation, and don't hesitate to leave a like or a comment to tell me what you think...

Thanks for watching :)
