In this video, I'll give you a preview of version 9 of the free BY-GEN addon for Blender. BY-GEN has traditionally been about parametric modeling, but this update expands the toolset to make use of geometry nodes while also supporting user-made content packs.
The two main features we'll take a look at in this video are mesh displacement and multi-layered surface effects. We'll also take some time to talk about software design and how to make tools useful through the use of artistic 'proof cases' (use cases / proof of concepts).
