Carlos F. Puertolas - Goth Teddybear

First up is industry Legend Carlos F. Puertolas' stunning teddy bear series made with Blender, with the latest "Goth" flavor being just as impressive as the rest of the series. Carlos has honed his CG teddy-making skills over a dozen or so entries, and his artwork shines with attention to detail and overall render quality. The fur looks great, the inner seams on the hat and on the belt are great details, and the "dripping" mascara on the fur is an awesome final touch. Check out his Instagram or Reddit page for more of his Teddybear series.

Yash Sharma - Untitled

Next up is Yash Sharma's charming artwork over from the Blender subreddit. This render shines with its play-doh, tactile, hand-sculpted aesthetic, achieved in part thanks to the great work on the materials which sport fingerprints. The other element that completely sells this scene as a miniature is the great use of light, with the light source to the left "betraying" the small scale of the scene thanks to how it shines on the "planets" behind the lead character.

Gaku Tada - Misty Prague

Another industry veteran makes it into today's roster of incredible Blender artworks with a personal project, Gaku Tada and his gorgeous "Mistry Prague" artwork. Showcasing the true potential of Blender's Grease Pencil, Gaku offers up a delicate and mesmerizing artwork, making full use of the hand-drawn aesthetic, with the added magic of dropping and moving a 3D camera into the perceptually 2D piece. Check out his Instagram page for more masterful Grease Pencil work.

Shin Min Jeong - Cruella de Vil

Next up is South Korean 3D Character Artist Shin Min Jeong's beautiful "Cruella De Vil" sculpt. Done entirely in Blender, the character's expression, hair, and shading work stand out. Shin has released a complete timelapse of his work on the scene, check it out on the video below.

  1. Primitive _Object on

I really want to know the process for getting that pattern of fur on the teddy if anyone is in the know. Surely it isn’t just clumping on the hair particles. It looks so perfect.
