Hey guys,

Today, we're diving deep into Geometry Nodes in Blender 2.93 and we're going to be creating an awesome organic/displacement animation.

This will be an in-depth tutorial, meaning that I'll be explaining the "why" behind the "how". So, even if you're a total stranger to geometry nodes, it's going to be all okay.
Now, grab a cup of coffee, get something to eat, and have fun learning!

  1. Thank you for this. I have managed to follow the tutorial as far as 2:31, where you type #frame in the value node. Nothing happens for me when I type #frame, but I can not see what I am doing diffeently.

      Hey Erik,
Maybe you typed #Frame instead of #frame. The letter "F" being capital makes the driver useless. And then when you later replace it, it just doesn't work.
So just add another value node and type in #frame.
Let me know if it works.

  2. Disregard my earlier comment. I made that part work. But now I am trying to do the "dynamic paint" at 5:16 and I told the small spheres to be a brush and the big sphere to be a canvas, and it's not painting. What setting are you not telling me about that I need to set?

  3. The vertex colors look okay. It's probably some invisible setting I do not know about.
I understand which sphere should be the canvas, but I am confused which sphere should be the brush.
I tried making them both brushes, in two different colors, but do not see either one of those colors showing up.

Alright, so the spheres with the rotating animation should be the brush. Not the other ones. Also, did you enable the vertex colors from the canvas settings?
