Wow that's going to be super useful. I was just recently complaining about just this concept, so thank you! I even had the same idea, to bake the map, but I wasn't able to get a correct result and after watching this I think I know why! Yay!
Hey Rob, yes I also did a few failed attempts. In my case it was the negative values that the clamp on the displacement prevented. Thanks for the comment!
