Farmer Joe Render Farm updated to 0.2.2 with straight to AVI and camera tools

Pleased to announce and update to Farmer Joe's Render Farm.

Version 0.2.2 allows you to render straight to AVI-JPG, AVI-RAW and FFMPEG. (test your FFMPEG workflow before relying on it as it uses a pretty simple method to glue the clips together - audio will have clicks)

I tested this while working on a project with multiple camera views and added some tools to make this easier. You can use the camera name as a prefix to the job file so all the renders don't have the same name. If you format the camera name correctly Farmer Joe will increment a version number for that camera name.

Lastly I've added Joe's Camera Wizard, a simple independent addon which saves some non-camera specific data to each camera and allows you to write it back to the scene file. You can save an independent start and end frame, start and stop volume distance and whether the camera uses the compositor. It will also save the Density settings (Principled/Absorption/Scatter) for the first node in a material called 'volume' so you can save different Density settings for each camera there too.

Get the files on Github, and follow the thread on Blender Artists .

enjoy
