  1. This is definitely an improved workflow compared to how I would've done it natively within blender... i.e. have a series of planes jump to the right between keyframes to no longer occlude text. Thanks for that.

    Some thoughts:
    1) Are values able to be animated? That would be the difference between a mechanical typing vs a more human one.
    2) Is there a backspace option?
    3) There's no *easy* way to animate typing a few things, pausing, backspacing, and typing something different. Ignoring the backspacing issue, it's possible to emulate this with multiple backspaces.
    4) Another approach I'd considered in the past would be to create an html-like script and interpreter that could be a singular dynamic text object associated with a singular text file. And that might look like this:

    TYPE-WRITER LIKE ANIMATION

    WRITER-LIKE ANIMATION

    WRITES when the FRAME CHANGES.

As the add-on becomes feature-rich, you don't have to worry as much about UI as providing good documentation.

Thanks again for the tool, and for reading.

  2. I would love to reproduce this typewriter effect but having downloaded the add-on, I have no idea how to work it. Any chance of an user guide? How does it relate to the existing dynamic text facility?

  3. More info. The 2.9x version is fine. It's the 2.7x version that is puzzling. For example, there is nowhere to enter text.
