Blender 3D Environment Breakdown

1

A neat breakdown video of a personal project by Jadrien Cousens.

Hello! My name is Jadrien and I work remotely as a freelance matte painter, concept artist, and environment generalist.

I've contributed visual effects to over 50 film and television projects, including Game of Thrones, Fantastic Beasts 1 and 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I've been fortunate to collaborate with some of the world's top vfx studios.

This is a personal work exploring environment creation using Blender as the main 3D DCC. For high resolution stills and more of my work, visit my website.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Wonderful job Jadrien, you have nothing to prove anymore.
    Maybe you could share :)
I'd love to see a simple compositing tutorial about a basic scene with a true realistic result.
Because every time I try something with Blender, it's too unnatural.
