Here is a new tutorial for the Blender 2.93 feature Geometry Nodes in which I create a randomly scaled cloud of spheres animated along a curve:

  1. I'm having difficulty replicating this awesome animation. The #1, the sphere comes out overwhelming the curve/Mesh. On my attempt the Attribute Randomize interface does not offer "scale/replace. Is that an add-on? I have yet to find that one. The "sphere" spreads across entire mesh. #2, Attribute mix doesn't seem to work. And, then the spheres do not cluster or follow the Empty object.
Thanks to anyone who can point me in right direction.

Hi, thank you for your response. Yes, I am using version 2.93. And, the current issues are with my instances of the sphere do not follow your instructions. Also, when I add the Attribute Randomize Node the scale does not respond like yours. Additionally when I add the Weight Proximity Tool. The scale of lights stays spread cross the mesh. Finally, my spheres will not follow the empty object. So, I need an experienced set of eyeballs to see what I am doing wrong.
For the record, my Grand kids love your EFX and the video tutorials. Wanting to see the finished product. I can post it someplace and have photo's as well. If that will help.
Blender is an amazing program. I look forward everyday reading and learning from so many brilliant people who contribute to Blender.

        • Hi, you can check the about page of my channel, there is an email adress. For the sphere size it could be that you scaled or moved the sphere in object mode and not applied the transforms?

Thank you. Will do. I will review or try again. I have also not been able to get the cloud skinner script or add-on to work. That is showing up in my preferences but the blender, have yet to find the script.
