When working with game characters, scaling bones can be an issue. Therefore, effects like cartoony squash and stretch can be difficult to achieve.
Even if you don't want any stretching in your game rig, you may unknowingly be scaling certain bones. That often happens when using advanced rigs (e.g. Rigify) for games. And it can lead to ugly distortions of your characters when you import them into Unity, UE4 etc.
In this video you'll learn:
- the reason behind the bone scale issue
- ways to avoid bone scale problems
- two ways to achieve Squash and Stretch for games (they will work in most game engines)
