Over the holidays I got engaged to my best friend of five years, but before I popped the question I wanted to showcase our life together up until this point. We met that night on the dance floor, and little did I know she'd soon become my forever dancing buddy. This animation was played on our home theater projector and when it was finished I got down on one knee. (Not shown here, we're keeping this video private :D)
I could never have made this deadline if it wasn't for Mixamo's great dancing motion capture, as well as supplying all of the amazing background characters. This would have taken me years if I had to to create and animate all this from scratch.
Our two characters I did make myself, however. Everything from sculpting, retopology, texturing, facial animation and expression shape keys was done by me. I also created all the environments from scratch as well as layout, lighting, cinematography, compositing, sound design/mix, and editing. I had trouble finding a score that fit well, so I cut up the score from Disney's "Paperman" short film (Don't sue me Disney, I'm not monetizing this video, just sharing :D)
Thank you for checking out my animation!

Hahaha thank you very much :)
Man, what an outstanding idea and really great work on the looks of the video. Beautiful, kind of Pixar-esque style. ^^
That's so kind of you to say, thank you
I proposed using notepad. I wrote the text using notepad to form my thought then pasted the marriage proposal by email. It's original because not many propose by email.
Original ≠ romantic
