We are proud to announce the Freestyle UI Upgrade Project. This project is funded by the BNPR team and coded by Iyad (@cgonfire). The main goal of this project is to update Freestyle's UI to look more like the rest of Blender while making sure that the user experience is enhanced. And the result, as of this iteration, already meeting our requirements.
With the updated UI, Freestyle is easier to learn, to teach and faster to setup. The extra line style panels makes setting line style much more intuitive.
Right now we are looking for feedback from the community to enhance this further and to fit even more use cases. After the feedback period, we will enhance the UI more before sending it into Blender master to be included in future official Blender releases.
Note: This is strictly a UI upgrade. Freestyle works the same.
