This Animation was created to showcase the potential of digital 3D in the field of product presentations. My clients are mostly graphic designers and for them 3D is still quite an untangable field. This is my attempt to inspire them with 3D. The surreal touch should show the subtle differences between the real world and the virtual one. Created in Blender and rendered with Eevee. Postproduction and compositing were done in Davinci Resolve.
The colour palette is set up form the four basic colours. The hue and saturation were adjustet to get more earthy tones. In combination with the terrazzo texture they get their final look. I wanted to use a very detailed material with a lot of structure to create enough contrast to the minimalist environment.
The sketches show some of the ideas I had for the design of the vases. The final shape was defined in 3D where I could work better on the proportions and details. I was looking for abstract shapes that are not commonly used for vases to get an artistic appearance.

I'm usually not really into these types of abstract animations, but this is really beautiful. Great work!
Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you liked it nevertheless.
